Complexo da Orla de Augusto Corrêa is located in the town center, on the banks of the Urumajó River. The complex is made up of two municipal markets selling shellfish, regional fish, herbs, regional fruits, and cassava flour, among other goods and products. In addition to the markets, there is a square, a restaurant facing the Urumajó River, and the bandstand square, which includes the old mansion (now the city hall) that preserves features of colonial-era architecture, and the church of São Miguel Arcanjo, built in 1875; Saint Michael the Archangel is the town's patron saint, celebrated on September 29.
