Trilha de Itaúnas

The Itaúnas Long-Distance Trail was born within the framework of the Capixaba Trail Network, established by Decree No. 5,737 - R, on June 24, 2024, forming part of a rich mosaic that makes up the northernmost section of the Capixaba Coastal Trail. The trail is located within the boundaries of a state conservation unit that bears its name (Itaúnas State Park), traversing from south to north through this important protected area, which still suffers from the ills of humans who insist on hunting and extracting natural resources such as plants and timber from the region. It is hoped that with the formalization of this long-distance trail, more good people will be able to use and take ownership of this space for recreation and leisure in contact with such a sociobiodiverse nature.
