APA Lagoa de Iriry

Through Bill No. 062/02, the APA – Área de Proteção Ambiental da Lagoa de Iriry was regulated, thereby governing the process of land occupation, with the aim of protecting biological diversity and the existing watersheds so as to ensure the sustainable use of natural resources and quality of life. All activities to be carried out in the APA de Iriry must have the prior and express approval of the Head of the Municipal Executive, in order to ensure that the APA remains preserved and self-sustaining and is a potential tourist attraction.
