Parque Ecológico Ezechias Heringer

Also known as Parque do Guará, this park is crossed by the Córrego Guará. With typical cerrado, campos de murundus (grasslands dotted with earth mounds) and dense gallery forest, the park has great biodiversity, including small mammals, birdlife and a rich flora. Its name is a tribute to the agronomist Ezechias Heringer, a pioneer in the study of the cerrado, who identified many orchid species throughout the Distrito Federal. Its attractions include leisure and sports facilities, as well as a small, well-kept orchid house with native species. Located at QR 23, Guará II.
