Parque Estadual Águas da Billings

Parque Estadual Águas da Billings (PEAB) is located in the Atlantic Forest biome, where the Manacá da Serra (Tibouchina pulchra – Melastomataceae) stands out for its wide distribution across the park, which is why it has become the symbol of the protected area. The vegetation of Parque Estadual Águas da Billings includes important fragments of Dense Ombrophilous Forest at various stages of regeneration, approximately 85% of which is at an intermediate stage, and they provide shelter for countless native Atlantic Forest species, some of them endangered.
