Linda Serra dos Topázios is a nature reserve dedicated to conserving the Cerrado biome. Located in the municipality of Cristalina, Goiás, it was registered with ICMBio as a Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN) in 1994. Its 469 hectares are home to a great diversity of flora and fauna, covering several Cerrado vegetation types (such as veredas, grasslands, cerrado rupestre, cerrado stricto sensu, cerradão, and forests), as well as springs. The RPPN is bordered by the Córrego dos Topázios and Córrego da Pedra em Pé streams, with beautiful pools and waterfalls. The land of RPPN Linda Serra dos Topázios was purchased by journalist Jaime Sautchuk in 1993 and turned into an RPPN the following year. Today, Linda Serra dos Topázios is cared for and managed by his three children: Maria Rosa, João, and Carlos. Linda Serra dos Topázios works in partnership with institutions and companies on scientific research and environmental education projects.
