The trail traverses sections of preserved forest, passing along the banks of the Ipiranga River and the Paraibuna River, where it is possible to see the confluence of these two rivers, which form rapids, waterfalls, and natural pools where visitors can bathe among fish such as the pirapitinga, an endemic species of the Paraibuna River watershed.
